Description
Mandalas are a very old tool for meditation. Their origins trace back to Indian and Tibetan traditions. In Christian circles, they can take the form of circular images found in the rose windows of medieval churches. The word 'mandala' comes from the ancient Indian language and means 'circle.' The circle is an unchanging form of the mandala. Within the circle, there is an order of structures that have a center and either expand from it or towards it. We can find mandalas not only in images and artistic objects but also in nature, for example, in flowers, spider webs, tree rings, or in the shapes created by raindrops falling on a water surface.
