The Secret of the Castle in Ivanovice na Hané The South Moravian author attempts to bring to the public's attention the now-forgotten yet interesting figure of Baron Jan Václav Přepyský, who was the holder of the Ivanovice estate from 1725. This highly educated nobleman of his time, a graduate of the Jesuit college in Olomouc, traveled mainly in Italy and became acquainted with many works of art there. He remained misunderstood by his time until his tragic end, but he left behind a number of remarkable legacies in Ivanovice. One of them is the romantic story of the sensitive nobleman and Charlota from Moravec, which is built on historical sources and contains mysterious plots that offer unique insights into the psychology of characters living more than two centuries ago. The second part of the book consists of a historical review that informs readers about real events and presents newly discovered documents and photographic material.
