The textbook is intended for everyone who has mastered the basics of French. The introductory lesson reviews the most fundamental phenomena, while subsequent lessons gradually revisit others. At the same time, it delves deeper into phenomena that the student knows from any beginner's textbook (studying according to French for self-learners is not a prerequisite). Each lesson of this textbook contains an introductory text, from which exercises on selected difficult aspects of French grammar are derived, aimed at deepening or expanding knowledge about them, covering various thematic areas, and paying attention to articles from the press. The textbook also includes short jokes, cooking recipes, proverbs, sayings, or song lyrics and is supplemented with illustrations. The author emphasizes the most authentic spoken French and introduces users to marginal forms of the language, such as verlan. The textbook includes an answer key to exercises, a detailed index, and a French-Czech glossary. A CD with nearly three hours of MP3 recordings, featuring native speakers reading the introductory texts and dialogues of the lessons and selected exercises, is included in the textbook.
