One sentence after another fills us with joyfully excited anticipation of the next event. And the characters are real, living English people. How complicated the web of human relationships is, and how refreshing their form is when the actors come from different social strata! Eliza has the talent and desire to understand more – and despite her youth, she knows that with every change, we not only gain but also lose.
