Russian in Practice is a textbook of contemporary, living language for advanced users. The first nine lessons review common conversational phrases needed for social interaction, introductions, networking, traveling, shopping, visiting the doctor, and more. The next eight lessons focus on specialized Russian in the following thematic areas: banking, stock exchange and commodity trading, joint-stock companies and their organization, export and import, business in tourism, exhibition management, and customs control. The book is supplemented with examples of official forms, a chapter on business correspondence and contracts, an overview of Russian grammar and syntax, a Russian-Czech and Czech-Russian dictionary, and an answer key to exercises. An audio recording of selected texts and exercises is released separately. The textbook is intended for business schools, high schools, university students, especially those in bachelor's programs, and the general public. The textbook includes 2 audio CDs.
