Description
When the Czech-Indonesian Dictionary was published in 2003, the author was already working on the Indonesian-Czech Dictionary, which will be more comprehensive. The number of entries will reach about 30,000 and the Czech equivalents about 55,000. The dictionary is intended for Czech users, but Indonesian learners of Czech will also find many Czech explanations and synonyms. It is meant to be a helper for translators, interpreters, students, diplomats, and journalists. It will cover both types of standard Indonesian. The first is the language used in the media, schools, official communication, and written materials. The second is the language common in individual communication, which is often considered the 'easiest and most democratic language in the world' due to its simplicity. The author focused primarily on the first standard, but given the development and current trends in Indonesian, he also addresses the second standard.
