This Czech-language French course contains 18 chapters covering the basic topics encountered in everyday contact with foreigners, whether while travelling, socialising or doing business. It teaches approximately 3,000 sentences and sentence fragments and 5,000 words and phrases. The book serves as a supplementary aid for language study, as well as for immediate preparation for meeting foreigners and for use during stays abroad. Only basic grammatical knowledge is assumed; a brief grammar and pronunciation overview appears at the beginning. You can work through the material systematically or select a topic as needed. Colourful layout and an index make the book easy to use, and two audio CDs contain recordings of the most important expressions, sentences and dialogues. The course is suitable for students in classes and at schools, as well as for self-learners, from level A1 for beginners to B2 for intermediate learners.
