Description
"Why do rituals of self-abandonment exist?" This significant line for the author resonates in one of the poems summarized in the slim debut collection Třísky v medu. The tension between searching for one's own identity and the impenetrable world of others is evoked in her verses, as this sensitive soul grapples with an environment that is largely unkind to her. Although the author's poems are variations on one of the eternal themes of poetry that "does not begin with a poem," as Jan Štolba rightly states in the motto to this collection, this poet expands it with a dimension of fragile, humble, and unassuming questioning of the meaning of existence, enriched by her sensitive relationship with nature and elemental forces. The resonant illustrative accompaniment of Třísky v medu is created by the graphic artist Olga Vychodilová.
