Description

The second poetry collection by the daughter of American critic, translator, and poet Mary Rudge and archaeologist and ethnographer Boris Baratti de Rachewiltz, and the granddaughter of one of the greatest modernist poets, Ezra Pound. The author of the verses lives in the Netherlands, translates from English to Italian, for example, K. Graham's book The Wind in the Willows, and from Italian to English, for instance, a selection of late poems by Cesare Pavese, Your Eyes (2009). The collection My Taishan from 2007 loosely follows the first collection of English-written poems Watertriptych: Passionfruit Across an Ocean (1994). The book was translated into Czech from the English original by Petr Mikeš. It is accompanied by an insightful afterword by Jakub Guziur Under Taishan. It is published as the thirtieth volume of the Poesis edition.
