Spelling Crossroads – Nouns 2 is published in the Damn Czech edition by Tobiáš Publishing. The series offers sets of exercises through which children learn how to approach solving grammatical phenomena, such as spelling i/y after ambiguous consonants in the middle of words and in endings, how to navigate word structure, ... followed by practice and reinforcement of procedures. The tasks are developed into sequential teaching steps (serialization), which are graphically clearly distinguished and defined so that children can work with them independently. This workbook is dedicated to nouns, which is typically covered in the 4th and 5th grades of elementary school. You can use it independently, but we recommend combining it with our new series of Czech language textbooks for the first stage of elementary school. An alternative to these procedures may be the version for iPad or Windows 10. The testing package Damn Czech can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Microsoft Store. In Part 1, you will find exercises covering all grammatical categories of nouns and masculine gender patterns, while Part 2 covers patterns of neuter and feminine genders and a comprehensive review of all genders.
