This four-part series is filled with inspiring circuits for both amateur and industrial electronics: clever, simple designs that address problems often encountered in practice. This second volume presents a carefully selected collection of circuits useful to designers working in our geographical region. Although many of these designs can also be found online, searching for them individually takes valuable time that is better spent developing an application. The collections provide inspiration and lead readers directly to the original sources. The author spent many years gathering circuits, using some in his own work and publishing those he found particularly interesting in Czech magazines, especially Sdělovací technika, Amatérské rádio, Praktická elektronika and KTE Rádio plus. With the permission of their editors, this volume brings together articles published after 1990, with selected corrections and updates to errors, inaccuracies and time-dependent information. The original sources include electronics magazines, application and design notes, data sheets and publications from component manufacturers, as well as the Internet. The circuits are arranged into sections according to their focus, resulting in four separate volumes so readers can choose only the area that interests them. Some circuits are no longer current, but older applications may still inspire successors and solutions to other problems. The author has tested some of the designs, but their operation and stated parameters cannot be guaranteed, and anyone wishing to use them must verify them and make any necessary modifications themselves. Despite advances such as single-chip microcomputers, which can now solve many of the functions more simply or with better parameters, this book offers inspiration for tackling practical electronics problems.
