Description
The first volume of Hannah Arendt’s final work, published in book form from her literary estate, examines thinking as one of the fundamental, irreducible dimensions of the human mind or spirit, alongside willing and judging. Arendt places thinking within the sphere of human practice in order to demonstrate its distinct nature, and seeks non-metaphysical answers to traditional metaphysical questions. Her reflection forms an individual and penetrating dialogue with Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Heidegger and other figures in the philosophical tradition, while also offering remarkable interpretations of texts by Franz Kafka and W. H. Auden. The contents are in Czech.
