Description
Confession is an inner meeting with God, who created me, who is the source of my being. He can heal various wounds of mine and tend to the places where my life force and joy escape, even considering my personal history. However, the sacrament of reconciliation is not only focused on the past. It is fundamentally directed towards the future. I do not confess merely to list something that happened in my distant or recent past, but through the sacrament, I receive the strength to direct my entire life in the right direction. It is a very creative and life-giving time when, through the power of the Spirit, not only is God's image renewed within me, but also His peace and all the strengths and gifts He has placed in me.
