On the ground lies snow, inside is a shearing of lost and rediscovered images and events, a laboratory with winter fragments... Petra Strá (Strachoňová-Fingerlandová, born 1979) studied at a business academy, transportation engineering, geography, and the Literary Academy of Josef Škvorecký. She has gone through many jobs across various fields and "genres," both in our country and abroad. In recent years, she has been writing song lyrics for children and teaching creative writing at the children's music school La škola. Her poetry has been published in Tvar, Weles, Pandora, and the online Dobrá adresa. Her play The House in the Bottle was staged by Studio Ypsilon. Volavka is her literary debut. The author lives in Prague and in Solopisky.
