Description
The suicide of a wealthy older man soon proves to be unlikely. An observant Policeman tirelessly searches for the real reasons behind that strange death, which leads him to a mysterious house under Petřín. The number of mysteries and motives increases, as do the hours spent with the young Widow. However, the main characters are three, maybe four women, educated, bold, and devoted to a higher justice, according to which the victim and the perpetrator lose their original duality. And in the echo, a burning question arises: how much more violence and wars await us before all this human misery finally humanizes us? The author's grotesque novel, rolling like lava, also speaks of the need for touch, for "bodies do not lie and their memory does not deceive." And the driving force in the book are free beings for whom kindness is mightier than the laws of rulers — chirping swallows.
