This publication contains a collection of texts that address the theoretical foundations of Czech visual poetry from the 1960s. Among the authors of the included texts—often scattered across hard-to-access periodicals, exhibition catalogs, or remaining unpublished—are key figures such as artists and theorists Jiří Kolář, Bohumila Grögerová, Josef Hiršal, Ladislav Novák, Jiří Valoch, Vladimír Burda, Karel Milota, Jiří Padrta, Václav Havel, and Ivan M. Jirous, among others. The book's form refers to the now-common documentary practice expressed through the method of anthological writing, the framework of which summarizes partial retrospective material that should complement the current critical reflection on the textual heritage of Czech culture and art in the second half of the 20th century.
