Description
Gallery owner, curator, art patron, publicist, and Renaissance man David Železný (July 4, 1969 – February 28, 2023), the elder son of the former director of TV Nova and brother of Jakub, a presenter at Czech Television. In the collection 'The Fourteenth Chamber,' he presented a selection of his poems from 2022 and 2023, in which his struggle with a cruel illness resonates. Verses about life and survival in difficult times bring understanding and reconciliation. They compel a person to open their eyes and heart. Sensitive texts are accompanied by fragments from the assemblages of sculptor and artist Jindra Viková from 1983 to 2019. Unfortunately, David Železný did not live to see the publication of his debut poetry collection 'The Fourteenth Chamber.'
