Rus krví umytá – Moníková Libuše (2017)

Four parts from a fragmentary novel (Death does not reign over him; The Town of Ostružná; The Village of Chomoutov; You can't break through a wall with your head), a life work of Vesjolý, a very popular writer in the 1920s and 1930s, who perished in prison as one of the victims of the cult of personality. With a distinctive language, directly and with a visceral taste based on personal experiences, he narrates the horrors of World War I, the October Revolution, the Civil War, the emergence of Soviet Russia, the collapse of the old and the birth of the new world.
