Description
Neither a biography nor a hagiography, but a poetic text about the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, a text about the beauty of mothers and the joy of a child and about the angelic smile of God. The boy left with the angel, and the dog followed them. That sentence miraculously fits Saint Francis of Assisi. Not much is known about him, and that is good. What is known about someone, to be honest, prevents us from truly knowing them. Despite what is said about him in the belief that we know well what, we actually do not see him. For example, it is said: sa-inta-fran-ti-sis. Like in a dream, without waking from the stupor of language. In fact, nothing is said; it is somehow allowed to be said. We let the words come, but they come in an order that does not belong to us, but to lies, death, life in society. How few real words do we share daily, truly very few. Perhaps we fall in love just to finally speak. Perhaps we open a book only to finally start listening. The boy left with the angel, and the dog followed them.
