Description
The second collection of the 'Liberec poet', again edited by Vít Janota. Silence, calm, reconciliation, and therefore poetry of the highest order. Light from behind the door. We sat together at the bar, with our backs to the window, after midnight, just the two of us, and the song by Rod Stewart, As Time Goes By. You talked about the past and pointed at the black-and-white photographs on the wall. I showed you my collection, and you seemed to weigh it in your hands, in those hands used to bags of cement and bricks, to pickaxes and jackhammers, to trowels and spatulas, to plugs and drivers, but also to old accounting books written in neat calligraphy, in which you return years back.
