Description
The main character, Dagmar, suddenly experiences back pain. You might think, what's the big deal? Who doesn't have back pain these days? Dáša, a well-known illustrator of children's books, needs to work. However, the pain hinders her drawing, intensifying to an unbearable level. After consulting a neurologist, she receives medication and injections. The treatment remains ineffective. The wait for admission to the hospital is long. Dáša is on the brink of despair. To make matters worse, her long-term boyfriend breaks up with her. After a series of examinations at the neurology clinic, the doctors' verdict is: surgery. Dáša cannot come to terms with this new reality. She believes that something like this cannot happen to her. She finds herself in a family of fellow patients of all ages. The not only poignant fates of the women but also their serious health issues force Dáša to reassess her current life and place importance on things she had previously taken for granted and considered trivial.
