Description

Media magnate John Spencer hires detective Gery Monteiro to follow his wife, the charming Carolina. Detective Monteiro flies from America to Monte Carlo, but before he can begin his surveillance, Carolina mysteriously disappears. The detective, who initially thought he would be unraveling a love triangle, suddenly finds himself dealing with multiple murders, a kidnapping, and an international conspiracy. The author drew inspiration for the character of John Spencer from moments in the life of multimillionaire and media magnate Robert Maxwell, who hailed from Czechoslovakia.
