Description
The Czech queen Blanka of Valois, the first wife of Charles IV, died at the age of thirty-two. Charles's second wife, Anna of Falck, died at twenty-three. The third emperor's wife, Anna of Silesia, also died at the age of twenty-three. Charles IV's fourth wife, Elisabeth of Pomerania, outlived her husband by several years, but the circumstances surrounding the deaths of all these women are shrouded in strange ambiguities. Why and how did the wives of the Czech and Roman king and later emperor Charles IV die? In searching for answers to these questions, the author of the book, L. Koláček, was enveloped in horror – something terrifying is 'not right' here...: something evil happened back then.
