The monograph summarizes the current possibilities of surgical treatment of parenchymal kidney tumors, particularly from the perspective of minimally invasive and kidney-sparing procedures. The authors focus primarily on the issues of laparoscopic radical nephrectomy and laparoscopic kidney resection, where they can familiarize readers in more detail with their own experiences. The issue of surgical treatment of kidney tumors is an integral part of the work of Czech urologists, for whom the monograph is primarily intended, but it is also aimed at surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, and nephrologists. The monograph includes a DVD with demonstrations of five laparoscopic procedures, one retroperitoneoscopy, and one experimental laser resection of a kidney on a pig model.
