From the introduction: The presented book aims to look at oncology issues from a slightly different angle, namely from the perspective of a general practitioner in their office. Their correct decision-making process can significantly influence the final outcome. Patients often, sometimes rightly, feel that they have become subjects of constant handovers from one specialist to another. The treatment process should be continuous, and permanent collaboration is expected from individual doctors (especially primary care physicians). However, everything is based on truly good mutual awareness. Since some necessary information is quite complicated for the general practitioner to obtain, we decided to present it in a simplified and clear form. Almost every day, general practitioners encounter issues that are seemingly tangential to medicine. Therefore, we also gave a voice to a medical examiner, a review physician, and an expert in medical law, whose contributions will certainly enrich the awareness of other doctors.
