At the foot of Landek Hill in Silesian Ostrava, a peculiar couple – Johan and Truda – live in two old miners' houses, embodying the distinctive character of a region shaped by mining tradition. They have gotten used to watching the cable car transporting tourists to the top of the hill, sipping beer from bottles cooling at the bottom of a small pond in their garden, and seemingly carefreely enjoying their ordinary lives. During the lockdown, Johan and Truda find themselves in an unusual situation: they increasingly rely on each other, Johan's son Hannes, living in neighboring Poland, struggles to reach them across the closed state border, and Truda's daughter Maruška has her new life in Prague. The joy of meeting their children and grandchildren is replaced by new worries, reflected in their quirky conversations and ideas, enriched by the charming dialect of Hlučín – Prajzština. While Johan and Truda ponder whether 'face rags' will help against the 'Chinese virus,' properly chilled beer, 'Trump-style disinfection,' or 'delicious golden soup' made from koi carp sold at the hobby market, the relentless reality encroaches upon their garden.
