Description

The noble orphan in an English medieval county has his life all mapped out: He will leave for a monastery, return, marry, and take his place beside the lord of the castle, his older brother. However, young Laurenc is simply different. He loves endless horseback rides, wandering through the woods, and while he is loyal to his brother, he cannot be strong enough to become his squire. In a world bound by rules and Christian morality, he seeks himself and finds an unusual form of love after a young man with gray eyes appears in his surroundings. Centuries later, a young journalist arrives in the Lapland forests. He is here to write a book about a once-famous aging writer who has become his great idol. However, their cohabitation in a cabin far from civilization is not what he imagined; yet, they soon begin to find an unexpected path to each other, strengthened by an unforeseen spiritual connection. What was supposed to be just a few days of work gradually reveals itself to be a fateful time spent together. The song L. tells two parallel and intertwined stories that sensitively explore the forms of solitude, the unchanging nature of humanity, and the boundaries of desire or forbidden love.
