The book loosely follows the Stories of the Old Lady, which were published by PROSTOR in 2013 and then in three other editions, dealing with the history of the Tour de France cycling race. This time, we focus on the second of the trio of famous three-week races – the Giro d'Italia. This race also attracts the attention of millions of fans worldwide every year, and in 2017 it celebrated its first hundred editions. In recent years, with the increasing successes of Czech cyclists, the Giro has also become more popular in the Czech Republic. In 2018, the race was particularly attractive because it started for the first time in history outside European territory – in the Old City of Jerusalem. Like the Stories of the Old Lady, the Stories of Corsa rosa are equipped with unique period photographs and a rich statistical overview. It is now being released in its third, revised edition.
