Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the long-awaited debut novel by Quentin Tarantino, the alchemist who has managed to turn cinematic trash into gold. The renowned American director draws from his Oscar-winning film of the same name and, with astonishing vigor, expands on its themes. Just like on the screen, we also follow actor Rick Dalton, who, with growing despair, perceives the decline of his career, and his stunt double, driver, and friend Cliff Booth. Both must come to terms with their own aging and the transformation of the film culture, in which they find it increasingly difficult to locate their place.
