Description
The year is 1493, Milan, the height of the Renaissance. A man in his forties walks through the city, seemingly lost in his own thoughts, with a calm expression and dressed in a long pink robe. He lives with his mother and a small boy, does not eat meat, writes from right to left, and fights daily to get paid for his work. This man is named Leonardo da Vinci, and his fame spreads far beyond the Alps, reaching the French court. It is also said that the Italian inventor hides his most precious ideas – including a plan for an invincible knight – in a notebook concealed under his cloak close to his heart. When a dead man is found in the castle courtyard, Leonardo is called to investigate this highly suspicious murder – there are no signs of violence on the man. Marco Malvaldi has perfectly intertwined history, literature, science, and crime, bringing one of the greatest figures of the Renaissance to life.
