Description
The collection of short stories 'Guess, You Can Once' is the debut of a young Czech author who focuses her attention on seemingly ordinary human fates - a divorced woman with a daughter, a debt-ridden young man, an aging model, an unhappy newlywed, a lonely single mother, a womanizer, an unpopular girl in a group, or a single teacher longing for a better life. The common thread of all the stories is dissatisfaction with one's own life and the inability to cope with what it brings. Therefore, some fates will play more or less with them, leading them astray and into mysterious and incredible situations. The author tells her well-punched stories with a sense of humor and exaggeration, but she does not shy away from more serious or tragic moments of human life.
