Description
This Czech-language detective novel revolves around the mystery of love and evil and a Vyšehrad treasure in Prague, which robbers pursue even over dead bodies. The treasure, hidden at Vyšehrad by French Colonel Chevert during the war with Maria Theresa, is tied to a family secret. Although it sounds like a fairy tale, Chevert’s descendants manage to find the treasure, but an unknown criminal gang follows them and steals much of it. Set in Prague and France, the story follows Czech and French police as they search for the robbers. As the end of the game approaches, the family relationships among the main characters, both past and present, come clearly to light.
