Český jazyk pro SOŠ a SOU UČ – group of authors (2013)

The single-volume publication covers the curriculum taught throughout high school - it encompasses the language part of the subject as well as the communication and composition sections, conceptually divided into individual thematically organized units (General Knowledge about Language, Czech Language in Spoken and Written Form, Vocabulary of Czech, Morphology of the Czech Language, Syntax of the Czech Language, Text Creation and Analysis, Czech Language in Contemporary Society). These are further divided into chapters with a uniform structure: theory, solved problems, and exercises. Each chapter in the thematic units is introduced by a motivational page, containing interesting linguistic and non-linguistic facts, and a section called You Will Learn, which names the goals of the chapter. The first part, theory, presents a modernly conceived explanation. Definitions or summaries intended for memorization are highlighted, and it also includes a block called Contexts, which encompasses interesting facts and overlaps into other general or specialized subjects or real life. A separate part consists of solved problems. They include basic as well as more challenging tasks related to the given material, with solutions broken down into individual steps.
