Description
Each part of the textbook contains 15 lessons divided into sections A, B, and C. Section A includes introductory dialogic texts connected by a loose narrative line. It serves to practice listening and conversational phrases for everyday communication. The texts in section B, mostly authentic, are intended for practicing reading comprehension. Section C is a review section and contains vocabulary from the given lesson. After completing both parts of the textbook, the student should master all four basic skills in a foreign language (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) as well as grammar and vocabulary at a level sufficient to successfully pass the basic state language exam or the upcoming higher-level graduation exam - B2 according to the European Language Portfolio, published by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic in 2001.
