The working textbook 'First Science' for the 1st grade is divided into two parts and is also available in electronic form, which includes a digital extension. Through knowledge and practical tasks, students gain a range of new insights from the educational area 'Human and His World.' For easy understanding by first graders, who cannot yet read in the first semester, the entire first part of the textbook presents task assignments in the form of icons. It addresses the topic of family, behavior at home and school, and relationships with classmates. In line with the current season, children learn to recognize nature in autumn and winter, noticing, for example, how deciduous and coniferous trees change during these seasons and looking for differences between them. A very important topic is safety on the way to school, and they also get acquainted with clocks and expressing time; a favorite topic is Christmas and discussing the observance of Christmas traditions and customs. At the end of the working textbook, two year-long projects and creative tasks for skilled hands are included. You can also look forward to a mystery for researchers. The electronic version contains both interactive exercises and games, through which students reinforce their acquired knowledge, develop their observation skills, and enhance their digital competence, as well as a range of multimedia.
