Angličtina pro 4.ročník ZŠ RVP – Zahálková Marie (2020)

English for 4th grade elementary school builds on English for 3rd grade elementary school, published in 2006. The textbook includes a workbook, a CD with recordings of vocabulary, dialogues, rhymes, and songs, two sets of quartet playing cards for vocabulary practice and simple conversation, and a teacher's manual. The advantage of this series of English is that the author is an experienced teacher and also an experienced author of textbooks and teaching materials for children of this age. She aims to motivate students to learn English without burdening them with unattractive topics. Another advantage is the strong reliance on the Czech language. All explanatory material is in Czech, which facilitates understanding of the curriculum both in school and during home preparation. Grammar is discussed with examples considering the students' knowledge from Czech language instruction. Each lesson includes vocabulary and phrases with Czech translations, and a complete glossary is provided both in the textbook (arranged alphabetically) and in the workbook (arranged by lessons).
