Description
This publication is part of a comprehensive series of music education textbooks for the first stage of elementary school. The main intention of the authors was to foster a positive relationship to music among students, particularly towards singing, active listening to music, musical movement activities, and instrumental play. Through the textbooks, children will also become acquainted with musical instruments, interesting facts about the lives of composers, how music is created, and other music-related circumstances. The introductory texts of each session motivate students for the musical activities presented in the textbook, drawing not only from the musical environment but also from everyday life. Emphasis is placed on the activity and creativity of students in all areas of music education. The activity-based approach of the textbooks, i.e., singing, musical movement activities, instrumental activities, and listening, thus forms a natural and, above all, integrative whole. The textbooks are developed according to current curricular documents, namely the RVP ZV, and all activities included aim to achieve the expected outcomes in both the first and subsequently in the second period.
