Dějepis 6 pro základní školy - Pravěk a starověk – Válková Veronika (2015)

This completely new textbook is the first part of a new four-volume series for teaching history in the 2nd stage of primary schools and in lower grades of multi-year gymnasiums. It has been developed entirely anew in accordance with the requirements and recommendations of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education. It is dedicated to the historical development in the territory of today's Czech Republic and in the world during the prehistoric and ancient periods. The repertoire of recommended activities and tasks for students is expanded by a workbook published alongside the textbook. Both the textbook and the workbook have a new approval clause from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The curriculum is significantly graphically divided into basic and supplementary parts, supports interdisciplinary relationships, and emphasizes cross-cutting themes of the Framework Educational Program. Attention is paid to illustrations, period visual materials, and maps, and the explanation is accompanied by an originally processed timeline. The text is divided into partial tasks, activity instructions, each chapter contains a summary of the material and a final review. The textbook also lists key competencies it aims to fulfill and the expected changes in the student's personality. It thus facilitates the easier processing of the specific School Educational Program of each school. A methodological guide for teachers will be published by the end of 2006 to accompany the textbook and workbook.
