Elektronika III. - učebnice – Bezděk Miloslav (2012)

The third volume in the series of electronics textbooks titled Electronics III is intended for the 4th year of industrial schools, integrated secondary schools, and vocational schools for fields with codes starting with the number 26. The content is designed both for learning purposes and for introducing the topic through explanations of principles. The textbook is divided into four parts. The first part focuses on the recording and compression of image data – it describes magnetic image recording, video recorders, camcorders, and the recording media used in them, digital cameras, memory cards not only for digital cameras, and at the end of the chapter, the basics of data compression are explained. The second part is dedicated to optoelectronics – optoelectronic components, explaining the principles of photovoltaics, electroluminescence (LEDs), and semiconductor lasers. It also discusses imaging units and optical sensors. Towards the end of the chapter, it covers optoelectronic communication systems, i.e., optical fibers, the principle of light transmission through optical fibers, wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology, and wireless optical networks.
