Description
A prose about the complex search for mineral wealth in Mount Gimo. Author Vladimír Sattran describes in his book Mount Gimo the intricate journey to the discovery of a mineral deposit. The book was written in the 1970s and reflects dissent and the desire for freedom during the normalization period. Mount Gimo symbolizes the effort to realize human endeavors and at the same time embodies a dream of freedom, pure love, and the belief that the humiliation of people during normalization will eventually come to an end. The prose was written in the 1970s, but similar texts could not be published under the totalitarian regime. The book is accompanied by sensitive pen drawings by V.J. Svoboda.
