Description
The first part of the thematically composed series of geography textbooks contains introductory topics through which students become familiar with basic concepts of geography and cartography, the Earth as a planet of the solar system, the natural conditions on Earth and their influence on the formation of human society, and finally with individual natural components and areas of the Earth. The chapters of the textbook are modernly structured into several sections – chapter title, a short motivational text, What We Already Know, New Material, Remember This, and Control Questions and Tasks. They also contain a large number of photographs (including those from the creators of the educational project The World Around Us), illustrations, and other graphic elements that clarify and make selected passages of the material more accessible.
