Description
The composer and educator Eduard Douša was born on August 31, 1951, in Prague. Throughout his life, he managed to create hundreds of compositions in various genres for soloists, chamber ensembles, orchestras, films, children, Sokol gatherings, etc. In addition to his compositional work, he serves as a teacher at the Prague Conservatory, where he has trained a number of music composers, and at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, where he teaches music theory. The main common feature of Douša's work and life is joy and a smile – 'musica gioia.' As a lifelong optimist, he manages to project a smile into his creations as well. The book was created on the occasion of Eduard Douša's significant life anniversary at the suggestion of his listeners and admirers; the author is Radek Žitný.
