Description
A story about five friends who gathered at a pub for games of mariáš since the late sixties, when they were finishing their universities, up to the present day. While playing, they discussed life, and the content of this topic gradually changed from studies and girls to families or work problems, and eventually to illnesses and deaths. They belonged to a generation born after the war, entering the workforce during normalization, and reaching the peak of their careers in mid-life, that is, in the late eighties. The fundamental change that came in 1989 completely influenced their lives, including their preferences, interests, and needs. Can a person adapt to that? Some can, some cannot, and some do not even want to. How to proceed? Similarly to before? To cleverly find new possibilities? To complain about a wasted life? To feel and not bear the change?
