The Troubles of Tender Romantics is a collection of thirteen stories inspired by the atmosphere of spa towns, which encourage casual flirting as well as the formation of deep relationships. These sometimes end in marriage, other times in disillusionment. However, they always bring uplifting experiences of romantic love, enhanced by beautiful nature. Relationships formed in the spa thus carry an exceptional emotional charge. At the Priessnitz spa, where most of the stories take place, 'aching souls' are primarily healed. There, extraordinarily sensitive and perceptive people gather, capable of experiencing their emotions with great intensity. They often soar to the stars because they are in love. The transformations of feelings bring strong experiences, a gripping plot; great joy, but also sadness. Yet even that can be beautiful or at least sweetly bitter. Thanks to the emphasis on loving emotions, the stories in The Troubles of Tender Romantics are primarily aimed at women. However, no one is immune to romantic love.
