Description
"Once a person experiences success, joy, happiness, they want to experience it all the time; it's like a drug." I was about 11 years old, singing in Prague in a hall for 600 spectators. Backstage, a professor from the folk art school was warming up my voice, but somehow it just didn't sound right; a dry tone was coming from me... "Hynek, wait here, I'll be back in a moment," the professor commanded me and left me alone behind the curtain. Shortly, she returned with a banana, ordered me to eat it, which seemed strange to me, but I obeyed. That experienced professor knew what she was doing; suddenly my voice sparkled, and I experienced the greatest success of all the performers. After singing, the audience called me back to the stage four times with their applause! So, dear readers, no egg yolks, but a banana; for the vocal cords, only a banana! The book contains a wealth of information from meetings with various personalities and also a large number of photographs with a color supplement.
