Prof. PhDr. Zdenek Šafář, CSc., born in 1938, graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in 1961, majoring in philosophy - history. He worked there pedagogically until 1990 as an assistant, associate assistant, docent, and professor. He dedicated himself to teaching and scientific work primarily in the field of sociology as a pioneer in processing mass data from sociological surveys.
