Fronta na lásku – Faltová Blanka (2016)

Life can be harsh for some of us, as Sabina Lojdová, a gifted, beautiful girl with a captivating gaze, learns firsthand. Sabina is seventeen when she falls in love for the first time. Unfortunately, as often happens, it is with the wrong person. Until recently, she was a problem-free student, but after the death of her parents, fate dealt her a tough hand. She becomes obsessed with rebellion, talks back to her grandmother, who takes care of her, and after frequent disagreements, she runs away from home. She feels she must follow the voice of her heart and not look back. This harsh story, set mainly under the arches of Mother Prague, is full of unexpected twists. Love, hatred, desire, but also denial, in which there is no shortage of self-examination and a gradual finding of oneself, even a deep inner look into the very depths of one's soul. Sometimes it is difficult, exceedingly difficult, to lift one's self-esteem and move on. The characters in this story attempt just that, yet the paths woven with sins, lies, sex, drugs, and the ever-present fear seem too difficult and impassable. It is almost impossible to change everything for the better. Nevertheless, the heroes of this gripping and very readable novel succeed. They find strength in love. After the successful novel "There Was No Time for Tears," the author presents readers with another book that will not disappoint.
