Men as a group can be loved or hated. There is also, however, the category of indifference: they may mean nothing to us, while we lovingly and trustingly stroke our dogs’ ears instead. In short, men are like laxatives. If we are not careful, they can really put us through it. But if they put us through it in the bedroom and we enjoy it, we become cheerful, our faces shine like polished apples, and we skip around them like spirited fillies. Nevertheless, none of us will ever know men completely, and they can unpleasantly surprise us even after a diamond wedding anniversary. So caution is called for. In short, we should handle men like a cracked toilet seat. We never know when it will painfully pinch us on the bottom.
