Description
In every person's life, love plays a significant role; it is our essential need. It motivates our actions, serves as inspiration for artists in their works, and is the reason for great deeds by heroes. It holds up a mirror to us, showing who we are and who we could be. Three friends, three artists, Vivien, Elvire, and Louis, have struggled throughout their lives with issues regarding women, who have been the inspiration that guided them to their life's purpose, to art. The novel begins at a time when their problems become unbearable. Together, they take an oath that is meant to change their lives forever. This is also linked to the exploration of the question of the muse and the life that each individual leads within themselves. The painter, yearning for unrestrained freedom, is caught in love with a heavenly creature possessing a hellish mind. The writer, a lost man, finds himself only through the understanding of a woman who suffers much more intensely than anyone would suspect. The composer, an obsessive gambler with life, is faced with a trial that is meant to change his life full of mistakes. Among the trio of artists, Samuel, who lives in the woods, weaves the philosophical thread of the entire story, himself entangled in his own difficult situation. A story about searching, finding, and losing.
