Description
Following the successful release of Criminal Cases from the Orlické Mountains, the second book on this theme is here. The sixteen-year experience of the former head of the Rychnov criminal police, Colonel JUDr. Zdeněk Hlaváček, provided ample material for it. Some cases are exceptionally serious, such as the triple murder by a perpetrator from Lípa nad Orlicí, the brutal murder of the mayor of the village of Liberk, and a very complicated suicide case in Kostelec nad Orlicí. There is also the difficult decision-making about the appropriate moment for police intervention, described in the story 'The Border of Risk.' In some of the events described, the authors chose a somewhat lighter tone with hints of humor. You will learn about a terrifying dog that turned out to be a friendly animal, as well as how ordinary bad luck can haunt detectives, or about lovers of bronze sculptures who were only interested in the material of the artwork. The book not only brings tension but also offers an insight into the work of detectives who ensure the safety of the region under the Orlické Mountains. Just like the first part of Criminal Cases from the Orlické Mountains, which rightfully enjoyed great interest from readers, this sequel does not fall short of providing an interesting and captivating reading experience.
